Well, so much has happened since my last post. Eight (8) years have passed and here I am, still headed to nowhere. You think you would be somewhere far and stable years after graduating and getting a job, but then life surprises you with yet another whole lot of mystery after school.
I am now working, onto my 3rd job already after graduating. Many things have happened that brought me to where I am today, and I cannot really sum it all up in just one blog. I experienced many things, failures, successes which made me acquire realizations, learning, lessons and many more. These helped me shape the person I am now, and brought my life to where it is. Although I cannot say that my life now is where I want to be, I can say that it's pretty much headed there.
One realization I had is that life is never easy, but it's not hard as well. It actually depends on how you view it and how you train your mind to see things. I've seen people getting all hyped up about life one minute, then go down the dark tunnel the next. People who seemed to be on top and in control of his/her life, then fall apart after some time. This is because no matter how you train your mind to see only positive things, reality will catch up and remind you that not everyday is a sunny day. This is where you have to acknowledge that you are not always at the top of the roller coaster ride and that eventually you will have to come down the ride to experience being at the top again.
That's one realization for now, and more to come (haha).
This is really just a "coming back" post and I just thought of writing whatever it is on my mind. I hope to write more cohesive posts soon. :)

Headed to nowhere
The future has always been consistently uncertain. Now that another chapter of my life is about to end, another is also about to begin. But what's in store for me in the future?
For now, I'm headed to nowhere. I'm headed to a place where all the people, at some point in their lives, have been into or will be in the future. A place where we can be lost. A place where we should not dwell. A place which is meant for us to pass by, but never to stay into.
I hope to get past "nowhere" so I could be "somewhere". Somewhere I want to be and somewhere I can be me. Somewhere I can stay and not regret. Somewhere I could be with the people I love and do the things I like.
Random thoughts springing from the realization of the eventuality of the occasion on the 29th day of this month.

How I Find "The Fault in Our Stars"
I knew that eventually, one of them would die. I just didn't see myself crying when that moment arrived.
Out of curiosity (because everyone's making a fuss about it in FB), I read the book "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. I have read the synopsis before I read the whole book so I pretty much had an idea of how the story will end. But the good thing about reading the whole book than just the summary is you get the whole point. The lines, dialogues, and interesting scenes that are cut out from summary add to the overall impact of the reading.
I knew this is a story of two cancer patients who fell in love with each other but one would eventually die and the other's heart would be broken. I knew Augustus Waters would die first before Hazel Grace Lancaster. I knew this is a sad and tragic love story. But there is more to it.
I cried when Gus died. I cried for Hazel. I cried when Gus arranged his pre-funeral so that he can hear his friends' eulogies for him. I cried when Hazel woke up one morning, without her Gus anymore. And mostly, I felt sad because it was him who have gone first, when in the beginning, it should have been Hazel. It should have been him giving a eulogy for her.It should have been him carrying all the pain of losing the one you love. But then, "the world is not a wish-granting factory" for Hazel Grace, for everybody actually.
I find the book worth reading. You can feel the emotions of the characters and you can have a glimpse of the views of cancer patients. It makes you feel lucky to live and not have a doctor or anyone set a limit into how long you will live.
It's sad. It could have had a happy ending. But then again and again, "the world is not a wish-granting factory."

Adventures Behind the Pages- Part 1
I have been reading books to kill time last summer and it is only this time that I get the chance to write something about it.
It's my first time since I entered college that I didn't have summer classes so I had pretty much more time to do things I like to do, like reading. I didn't have much trouble in finding sources of books because I know one who loves to collect books she can practically build a library of her own. And the books she recommends were worth reading. Also, I have so many PDF files of books reserved in my laptop so I can read everytime I want to. Here are four out of the eight books I have read last summer.
Can You Keep a Secret?
by Sophie Kinsella
Well, I started reading this book way before summer but I didn't have the time to finish reading it with all the things I have to do for my studies. During summer, I started reading it again and finally finish it.
This is a story of a girl who, thinking that the turbulence during a flight will cause her death, spit out all her secrets to a stranger. Yes, to a total stranger. When they finally came out safe at the airport, she regretted it but thought that it's alright since she might never see the stranger again. What she didn't know is that the stranger plays an important role in her work, and eventually, in her life.
Remember Me
by Sophie Kinsella
I finished reading this book in less than two days (Friday night to Sunday noon). That's how much I love reading.
The story of this book centers around a girl who thought her life was miserable with all the crooked teeth she has, a loser boyfriend, and a boring job. Then she woke up one day with perfect teeth, gorgeous and handsome husband, and a luxurious lifestyle and she has no memory how it all happened! But what she thought is a perfect life hides something that she has to find out if she wants the truth about everything, from the day she lost her memory.
Best Laid Plans
by Sidney Sheldon
I read this book during my working hours at the office. This author is really good in making thriller crime fictions.
The story of this book involves politics and revenge. A beautiful but tough girl fell in love with a lawyer that is an aspiring politician but lacked the resources to win. The girl did all that she could to help the lawyer but was eventually betrayed by the latter when he found another woman whose father held so much promise for his career. The girl was shattered but she sought for ways to get back at the lawyer and started her personal campaign to overthrow him, not knowing that sooner or later, she will fall into her own trap.
Nothing Lasts Forever
by Sidney Sheldon
Well, I can say that I like this book the most out of all the books I read during summer. At first I thought this book was a love story but you should not really judge a book by its cover (or title).
This is a story of three women nurses who want to prove themselves in a work dominated by men. The three of them have their own stories that were connected to each other. One died, another made huge mistakes, and the other was tried in the court for a case of murder.
Reading books rocks! Until my next book-reading posts!
